About Us What is Impey Care?

The Impey Cares scheme from Impey Showers Ltd was launched in 2012 to raise awareness of the difficulties disabled people face in obtaining DFG funding for accessible showering facilities for their homes.

Quite simply. We wanted to help.

Working closely with Occupational Therapists and reputable contractors we donated and installed wetroom showering facilities to those with mobility issues who had been refused funding.

The reality.

Almost 75% of those who applied for the scheme were unaware of the existence of the DFG grant. This insight helped us inform areas of local government in the lead up to the increased funds available in the DFG via the Care Act. We applaud the decision to increase this funding.

What next?

All submitted applications are safely stored until we re-launch the programme later in 2016.
